Jair Jurrjens SP ATL Fragile but talented.  Needs better control, which will come with more experience. Key part of Renteria deal.  If healthy future No. 2  ETA: NOW
82 Alan Horne SP NYY Future No. 3 starter.  Great control and good source of K’s. Fully recovered from TJS.  ETA: 2008
83 Aaron Poreda SP CWS Large left-handed flamethrower.  2007 Draftee. Still green.  Needs pro innings.  But, will could quickly because of fastball.  Move to Closer likely.  Compares to Billy Wagner.  ETA: 2009
84 Madison Bumgerner SP SF Another fine 2007 hard throwing lefty draftee.  Great natural stuff.  Needs pro innings.  Projects as future No. 1  ETA: 2010
85 Oscar Tejada SS BOS Compares to Alfonso Soriano. Still growing.  Might be moved to OF in future.  ETA: 2010
86 Eugenio Velez 2B/SS SF Good showing at AFL, Power hitting infielder with great speed.  He was left unprotected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the Minor League Rule 5 Draft in 05.  Big mistake this kid can play.  ETA: 2010
87 Jack Egbert SP CWS Control artist, relies on a great curve and a sinker to get batters out.  Not flashy but effective.  ETA: 2008
88 Jaime Garcia SP STL Nice athlete. Great makeup.  Very determined. ETA: 2009
89 Bryan Anderson C STL Decent arm, great leadership qualities and developing power.  Future starting catcher on a good team.  ETA: 2009
90 John Mayberry, Jr. OF TEX Articulate player, powerful bat and a fine fielder just like his father.  ETA: 2010 
91 Gerardo Parra OF ARI Passionate and very smart.  Nice all-around outfielder.  D’backs will give him time grow and mature. Could play defense in majors today.  ETA:  2010
92 Deolis Guerra SP NYM Needs more pro innings and to stay healthy.  Still has a lot to learn but the raw talent is there.  ETA:  2010
93 Phillipe Aumont SP SEA Big powerful Canadian with a big-time fastball.  Needs pro innings.  ETA: 2010
94 Jake Arrieta SP BAL Decent pro prospect has good size and mechanics.  ETA:  2010
95 Wade LeBlanc SP SD Innings eater and tough. Projects well as a No. 3 starter.  ETA: 2008
96 Troy Patton SP BAL Needs pro innings and must improve K/BB rate in order to advance.  Key part of Tejada deal.  ETA: 2009
97 Michael Burgess OF WAS Raw power source but green.  Very aggressive and determined.  Could become a monster.  ETA: 2011
98 Mashahide Kobayashi RP CLE Decent but not dominant stuff.  Could close before season is out. Compares to Hideki Okajima.  Was a  successful closer for one of Japan’s top teams.  A winner.  ETA:  NOW
99 Jonathan Meloan RP LAD Decent stuff and the makeup necessary to excel in the bullpen as a setup guy.  Health issue and early heavy workload are drawbacks. Good not great prospect.  ETA: 2008
100 Chris Lubanski OF KC Needs to find consistency.  Has good speed and is a decent defender.  Could go either way. ETA:  2010
