This is what I’m talking about, THE TRADE is BACK!God bless this terrible FA market

A Great trade for both teams involved, Twins Get a good center field prospect, the best OF prospect around in Delmon Young and a usefull SS. The D-rays get Garza and Now Have a HUGE upside potential in there rotation of Kazmir,Garza and Shields, they also get a reliever and a better SS and free up one of there clogged OF spots

I’d hate to give up Delmon Young - in fact I probably never would - but in addition to the three studs Ronan talked about don’t forget the Rays also have #1 pick David Price and Jeff Niemann who’s flying up thier minor league food chain.

As a Jays fan - I’m a little worried this team is starting to put some stock in relief pitching - it’s been thier downfall for years!

great trade for the RAYS. Delmon Young will never be an elite hitter in MLB. He is a great fielder with a cannon for an arm. The one thing I hear nothing about. The RAYS traded a guy with questionable character and got a huge prospect. SO basically this a steal for the RAYS.

Guys, here is what I have.

    - The Twins are looking for a SS and or a 3B along with 1-2 pitchers for Santana.

ive heard Lester,Crisp,Lowrie and Masterson for Johan. Crisp according to all them crazy stat sites is the best CF in the AL, they’d get Lester and Masterson two big time pitching prospects and then have Lowrie to plug in at SS.

The emotional attachment to Lester makes me shy away from the deal but taking emotions out of it I would do it in a hearbeat

Just a reply to Tony, why cant YOung be an elite hitter, I know he swings at everything that crosses the plate but so do Vladdy,Sheff, Sroiano etc. and teh Scouting on Young seems to say he can be as good as them

Young has a slow bat, and swings at everything. He lacks discipline and does not have the talent of Sheff, Vlad, or Soriano. I have to be honest I watch and analyze Sheffield, I can’t understand where he gets such incredible bat speed. He is a more disciplined hitter that VLAD. VLAD is a freak. Soriano is a good hitter. Powers numbers and such , he does swing and miss a whole lot.
