The Padres did sign Tad Iguchi to play second base…He is nice player…Won’t kill you , Won’t win you a game.
The Cubs deep pockets make this a forgone conclusion, Pinella is taking a more reserved role but definatly had his hand in the process. The Cubs sent 3 guys to Japan to watch him and felt he was a perfect fit for Wrigley Field.
Iguchi could play some center if he had to but he has a gun for the corners. 15-20 home runs and a good defensive addition.
