There’ve been a couple of changes to the format and quantity of Fantasy Baseball Mafia’s Mock Drafts. We’re holding only one Public Mock Draft because of the addition of our Member’s Only Mock Drafts, we’ve decreased the time of the picks from 1:30 to 1:15 after feedback from several participants and we’ve added 5 bench spots for a total of 28 rounds to coincide with the format of Mafia Leagues.

Being an architect and sports fan, I greatly appreciate new stadiums. If I weren’t an architect, I’d probably have been a sports statistician with architecture as a hobby. Instead, I’m an architect with sports statistics as a hobby.
Let me share this link with you of Tamps Bay’s new Stadium. It’s a nice design, but I like it more for its inovation. I’m very curious as to how the “roof” open. The article describes the photo in the closed position.

Selecting a draft spot:
Cory wants to mock draft from different positions
To not practice from differnet spots is derelict
Cory dosen’t want a 3b in the first round, easier to get a good 3b later. He really wants the 4th or 5th pick to get Holliday
4 3rd basemen, 3 ss, 3 1st basemen in the first 15 picks
If you have the wheel, take a bat (pujols) in the first round and Santana 1st pick in the 2nd round
Santana could have a defining season, 22, 23 wins, 2.3 ERA, lead the majors in K’s, Whip below 1. 6th to 8th most valuble player on pure value.

Cory Schwartz and Casey Stern; Mike Ferno is the new producer.
Chase Utley - slipped in mock drafts lately
M Cabrera - Huge power numbers and high average but he isn’t going to give you any steals, 3rd base is very deep
J Rollins - Great numbers really only a .280 hitter, have we seen the peek of his power, not a category winner.
C Crawford - 50+ SB, slipping in mocks while putting up the same numbers, rest of the linup is better behind him.
With regard to keeper leagues - get the best players available. Don’t be afraid to trade 2 good players for a great player.
Lance Berkman - Casey says he will have a huge year, Cory isn’t sure Cecil will get the batting order optimized having tejeda in there a full season, Kaz matsui is better than Biggio even outside Coors.
D Lee - hit for high average, get alot of extra base hits
Fuckudome - casey is watching to see what he can do, to start the season he will be protection for d lee and a ram.
Valverde - capable of putting up comperable numbers, big K guy, controlls the HR.
Figgins - .290 hitter and alot of his value is tied up in SB
Brewers - Speed and power loaded with young talent
