The Houston Astros have reportedly agreed to terms with free agent second baseman Kaz Matsui on a three-year contract.

The Daily Herald of Chicago reported the agreement, which is expected to be worth $15 million.

Matsui batted .288 with four home runs, 37 RBI and 84 runs scored for the National League champion Rockies last season, and was a key figure in their postseason run.

The Osaka, Japan native has a .272 lifetime average in four seasons with the New York Mets and Rockies.
